Pastor Peter Kim
After emigrating from Korea and growing up in Plano, Texas, Peter accepted Christ as his Savior and knew that God had called him as a full time minister by the age of 13. His journey led him to Wheaton College (Illinois), for his B.A. and M.A. degrees, to China as an English Teacher, and to Princeton Theological Seminary, where he received his M.Div. Peter has served in the Korean-American churches for the last 20 years (the last 10 as an ordained minister in the PC(USA) denomination) and is a frequent speaker at ethnic retreats and revivals. Most recently, Peter was an Associate Pastor at Korean First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. Peter has a heart and appreciation for all cultures and speaks English, Korean, Chinese, and some Spanish. Peter is married with two sons.
Pastor Mark Maltby
Mark grew up in a home rich in cross-cultural experiences. Missionaries, international students and families from around the world visited frequently. For example, a family of five from Ghana, West Africa lived with the Maltby’s an entire year during Mark’s formative years. After graduating from Christopher Newport University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Mark’s earliest ministry not only focused on music and worship but also in assisting the planting of two churches out of the Tabernacle Church of Norfolk: Urban Community Church and Peninsula Community Chapel. In 1990 he married Esther Cutherell who was born and raised in Pakistan to missionary parents. After adopting two children from Thailand through Holt International, they welcomed a third blessing; a biological son. Mark has ministered for the past 16 years as Pastor of Worship Ministries at Westover Church in Greensboro, NC.
